Loyal fans of the actress are urging that a man who breached a barricade and touched the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared clip reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing media personnel and charging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a yellow carpet surrounded by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being detained", though official papers showed that he was set to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account includes videos of him disrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney show in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last winter.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is obviously a punishable act," stated an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Express Concern Over Ariana's Safety

Many fans accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote a further message on Instagram.

A number of attendees also criticised security officers at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others requested social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Premiere Information

In videos shared widely, Grande looked surprised when she was grabbed by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Many of attendees had gathered in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore mall, including several who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it began.

The film, to be released on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a dual interpretation of the popular theatrical musical Wicked, which centers on the unexpected relationship between two distinct characters.

The show itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and earned 10 award recognitions, securing a pair for best costume and artistic direction.
