Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in a California Vehicle Accident
The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in the state of California at the age of 55.
The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The celebrated game designer died after his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This is an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
